AI Visibility Auditor is a Chrome browser extension that analyses websites for AI visibility signals. This policy explains what data the extension accesses, how it is used, and your rights as a user.
When you submit a URL for auditing, the extension reads the following from that webpage:
The extension also fetches publicly accessible files from the submitted domain, specifically:
/llms.txt/robots.txt/sitemap.xml/ai.txt/.well-known/openai-domain-verification.txtThis data is used solely to calculate an AI visibility score and generate improvement recommendations for the page you chose to audit.
The extension does not collect:
The extension only processes content from URLs you explicitly type into the audit field and manually submit. It never runs automatically in the background on pages you visit.
Audit results, your score history, marked-as-fixed items, and your selected site-type preference are stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API.
This data:
The extension's background service worker makes direct HTTP requests from your browser to the URL you submit for auditing. This is equivalent to you opening that URL in a browser tab yourself. No audit data, results, or page content is sent to any server operated by the extension developer.
There is no backend API. There is no analytics service. There is no crash reporting service. The extension operates entirely offline after installation.
This extension does not use any third-party services, SDKs, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or tracking tools.
This extension is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from children.
If this policy changes in a future version of the extension, the updated policy will be published at this URL with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
